Red Admirals

Naturalist Chris Sperring tries to get close to some of Britain's native wildlife as it goes about its business.

Combining his in-depth knowledge of the behaviour and senses of the animals, following with his sensitive tracking skills, Chris is able to be part of these animals' activities without them even knowing he is there.

Now he's on the chalk downlands above Lulworth Cove in Dorset.

Chris is on the lookout for new arrivals making an incredible journey across the English Channel: the fragile, strikingly-coloured red admiral butterfly.
