Naturalist Chris Sperring is trying to get close to some of Britain's native wildlife as it goes about its business. Combining his in-depth knowledge of the behaviour and senses of the animals, following with his sensitive tracking skills, Chris is able to be part of these animals' activities without them even knowing he is there. Now he’s on the trail of some badgers in a West Country wood. Badgers have sharp senses of hearing and scent, so the challenge for Chris is to get close to them without being detected… Producer: Sheena Duncan First broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in July 2002.
