A Glade in the Urban Forest

Chris Baines looks at domestic gardens from the point of view of wildlife and discovers gardeners are recreating habitats for an increasing number of animals.

In the first of five episodes Chris meets the ultimate woodland edge dweller, the hedgehog. He invites ‘hedgehog scientist’ Nigel Reeve into his own suburban garden in the Midlands to discover what makes the perfect environment for the creatures.
