Björk was always going to be involved in music in some form or other, but even those who'd been following her career were unprepared for the change in direction she showed on her first solo album.

After scoring success with the indie rock band The Sugarcubes, 1993's Debut found her exploring a completely different sonic palette, the singer having immersed herself in the world of cutting edge electronica and underground club culture.

This is a trip back into one of the most idiosyncratic albums ever made, one which launched Björk into superstardom.
