A Special Operations Response Team near Edinburgh are dispatched to a huge, potentially toxic fire on an industrial estate. They wait for news from the firefighters that everyone has made it safely out of the building.

Meanwhile, another team are helping a concussed driver out of his car following a frightening collision at nighttime in Dunbartonshire. All the driver can remember is that the traffic lights were green.

In Livingston, a son notices that his father is looking pale and faint, and helps him back to bed. The paramedics discover that the man has a dangerously low heart rate and blood pressure. An elderly lady who was due to go shopping with friends is found with a broken hip after a fall, and paramedics in Glasgow help a man suffering from severe alcohol withdrawal to safely detox.
