The Special Operations Response Team is called to a fall on Arthur’s Seat, where a tourist has been injured near the summit. Paramedics must navigate cragged rocks and scores of hillwalkers to reach their patient, with the help of their most versatile, all-terrain vehicle: the Wolverine.

In Aberdeen, student paramedic Amy faces a final assessment on her last training shift. Along with her two senior colleagues, she has to help a drunk man who has fallen over in chaotic circumstances and is making inappropriate comments. They also treat Colin, who is suffering from a serious allergic reaction and in considerable distress.

Members of the Special Operations Response team are called to another job, this one just outside Edinburgh, where a man has been injured in an apparent street fight. The team must help coordinate the ambulance response while the police try to control a volatile scene.
