Secrets of Antarctica's Giants

Humpback whales travel thousands of miles to feed in rich, icy Antarctic waters. Scientists who are following the whales reveal how that food supply could be affected by climate change.

The rich, icy waters of the Antarctic Peninsula teem with humpback whales, who travel thousands of miles to feed here. But climate change, fishing and other human activities could be threatening their food supply. We follow a team of scientists as they track down some of the biggest predators in these waters. They will uncover secrets, hidden in the animals' bodies, that reveal how the environment is changing and how this precious wilderness and its wildlife might be protected.
