What is the Strait of Hormuz and why does it matter?

The Strait of Hormuz might not be somewhere you've heard of before. But recently, it's been mentioned a lot in the news.

That's because the war between US-Israel and Iran has reduced the amount of sea traffic that can get through.

About 20% of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas passes through the Strait of Hormuz, so this disruption is having big consequences.
