'We shouldn't have to clean up plastic pollution - it's a major setback'

A huge collision between two vessels took place a few weeks ago - spilling tonnes of plastic pellets into the sea.

They've been washing up on beaches, causing pollution which is a threat to wildlife.

Local children have been getting involved in clean up efforts as North of England Correspondent Fiona Trott reports.
