Aston Villa will be hoping to secure another place in European football this season, after winning the Europa League in May.

One player to keep an eye on is 17-year-old striker Brian Madjo, who could make his mark in the Premier League.

He made his competitive debut earlier this month in the Super Cup against Paris Saint-Germain, where he scored Villa's only goal.

One of the players to impress most during Liverpool's pre-season has been young midfielder Trey Nyoni.

The 19-year-old made his Premier League debut last December, after joining the north-west club from Leicester City in 2023.

Known for being calm on the ball and good with both feet, his performances could earn him more chances to play for the Reds this season.

JJ Gabriel - Manchester United

Keep an eye out for fifteen-year-old Manchester United forward JJ Gabriel.

One of the most talked about young players in England's academy system, he was named the Under-18s Premier League player of the season last term, despite only being 14 when the campaign began.

Gabriel was a stand-out performer for the youth team, scoring 29 times in 32 appearances for the Red Devils, helping them to reach the FA Youth Cup and Premier League Under-18 cup finals.

Turning 16 in October, if he does make his senior competitive debut this season, he could become United's youngest ever first team player.

Max Dowman - Arsenal

Last season, Dowman broke the record to become the youngest goal scorer in Premier League history. He also made his first league start for Arsenal on the final day in May.

He made six league appearances in total, and after getting a taste of first-team football, he looks set to play a bigger role this time around.

Dowman scored in a pre-season friendly win over Girona and could become a regular option for manager Mikel Arteta.

Lucas Herrington - Hull City

Lucas Herrington recently broke the record for the biggest transfer fee paid for an Australian footballer, when he joined newly promoted Premier League team Hull City from MLS side Colorado Rapids.

Despite being just 18, Herrington stands at an impressive 6ft 4in, making him a strong presence in defence.

After a successful season in Major League Soccer, he was named in the MLS All-Stars team and became Australia's youngest-ever starter in a men's World Cup match over the summer.
