New stamps celebrate UK waterfalls

These are the new stamps showing 10 of the UK's most iconic waterfalls

The Royal Mail has released a set of 10 new stamp designs showing some of the UK's most beautiful waterfalls.
The photographs are from places in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
David Gold from Royal Mail said: "The British Isles are rich in natural beauty and these stamps highlight some of the UK's most striking waterfalls in all four nations.
"They showcase the richness of our natural environment which has been shaped by water over thousands of years."

Pistyll Rhaeadr is considered one of the Seven Wonders of Wales and is in the Berwyn Mountains.

Aysgarth Falls are in the Yorkshire Dales National Park in England. They have been a tourist attraction for many years and even featured in the 1991 film Robin Hood Prince of Thieves

This beautiful waterfall on the Isle of Skye, Scotland, has a magical name

This impressive waterfall is one of the highest in Northern Ireland. It is a popular tourist attraction in the Glenariff Forest Park in County Antrim.

Becky Falls in is Dartmouth in England. It is in an ancient woodland and the water runs down through huge granite boulders

Rhaeadr y Graig Lwyd, also known as Conwy Falls, is in Wales.

This large waterfall is in County Durham in England. Huge volumes of water cascade over the edge, 21 metres, into the pool below.

Hardraw Force is thought to be England's highest single drop waterfall. The name 'force' comes from the old word for waterfall in Norse, a language used by the Vikings.

This waterfall covers the entrance to a long and complex cave system in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland. Its name means 'Hole of the Dove'.

This spectacular waterfall in the Scottish Highlands is a good place to watch wild salmon leaping in the autumn.
