Dessert lovers assemble, the record for the world's longest tiramisu was broken in London over the weekend.

Around 100 Italian chefs gathered at Chelsea Town Hall in London to make the Italian coffee and cream dessert, using 50,000 ladyfinger biscuits and more than 3,000 eggs.

The final dessert measured a whopping 440.6 m (1,445ft).

Judges from Guinness World Records confirmed the new world record on Sunday.

Mirko Ricci, the man behind the London record attempt, said tiramisu was "the most incredible desert that Italy has exported".

He added that the giant pudding was in honour of the King and the Royal Family.

It was finished with a golden crown on top.
