A man had to be rescued after becoming trapped for three hours in a 10ft hole in a sand dune at a beach in Northumberland.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called to Druridge Bay at about 16:00 BST on Sunday when the man became trapped while digging in dunes.
Specialist teams were called to rescue the 32-year-old man.
After being treated at the scene, he was flown to hospital in Newcastle. He has now been discharged.
