Police said they believed the affected people had taken Black Mamba
Five people in Lincoln have been taken ill after taking a banned "psychoactive substance".
Lincolnshire Police said that some of those affected were treated in hospital before being discharged.
It is believed they had taken the former "legal high" Black Mamba, a synthetic cannabis, which was outlawed last year.
The force said it was concerned that "a harmful batch of the product is in circulation".
