    Blustery rain will spread in from the southwest through the evening before easing away north during the early hours of Saturday. 

    Clearer skies and colder conditions will follow, bringing a risk of frost and localised icy patches.

    Plans to allow jet skiing on a nature reserve in Scunthorpe have been condemned by local people. 

    Residents say it will cause damage to the site and drive away rare birds.

    The A1 has now re-opened in both directions at Harlaxton after being closed for most of the day.

    There's still quite a lot of traffic in the area however so bear that in mind if you're planning on using the road.

    You may have attempted this in the past - but the Spires and Steeples challenge, external is back for its ten year anniversary. 

    The route starting in Lincoln and finishing in Sleaford is an off-road trail which follows marked public footpaths and bridleways crossing open fields and countryside lanes. 

    It's in aid of WheelPower which provides sports wheelchairs, training and support to disabled people.

  8. Jail for Boston air rifle shooterpublished at 15:33 GMT 3 February 2017

    A Boston man who shot five members of the public with an air rifle after binging on vodka has been jailed for 14 months. 

    39-year-old Ruslanas Solovjovas of Vauxhall Road, took pot shots from the upstairs flat of the former Wellington pub building on November 13 last year. Armed police rushed to the Frieston Road area of the town as a result.

    When police entered the building they found a clearly drunk Solovjovas who told them he was "Jesus Christ."

    Passing sentence today at Lincoln Crown Court, Judge Michael Heath told him that he had behaved "stupidly."

  9. Appeal for missing Luke Harrispublished at 15:10 GMT 3 February 2017

    Lincolnshire Police say they're concerned for the safety of 20-year-old Luke Harris who was reported missing from the Newark area at around 15:00 yesterday.

    He was last seen wearing a yellow jumper, green jacket and black jeans and police believe he could be in our county.

    Rather and cloudy and windy across the county this afternoon, with the cloud getting thicker as we head towards the evening.

    We could see some scattered outbreaks of rain as well but staying mild.

    Scales of justice

    A couple accused of taking their son out of primary school to attend two family weddings have appeared in court.

    The parents, from Cleethorpes, each received fines for their son's eight-day absence from a North East Lincolnshire school during term time.

    They took him out of school last June to attend the weddings.

    At Grimsby Magistrates Court, both denied two charges of their son failing to attend regularly at school.

  13. Lincoln cancer charity shop footfall down 50% since city centre works beganpublished at 13:38 GMT 3 February 2017

    Fundraisers behind a Lincoln cancer charity shop say they have seen a 50% decrease in footfall, external after the loss of the bus station and works on Sincil Street.

  15. Bird flu 'threatens farmer's free-range status'published at 12:33 GMT 3 February 2017

    A Lincolnshire farmer says he could face a hefty bill because of bird flu precautions. 

    Outbreaks of avian flu in the past few weeks have meant poultry has had to be kept indoors.

    Neil Scaman, an egg farmer, says keeping the birds inside could mean his produce losing its free-range status.

    The government says farmers keep the free range status for 12 weeks in special circumstances.
