There's generations of families down in Wembley set to cheer City on, including Danny and Katy's

They've travelled from Preston to London for the FA Cup final with their dad and granddad.

Katy says she can't even eat because she is so nervous.

"I've been to all four FA Cup finals in the past four years - the past two [when City lost] haven't been the best."

She says she is "wearing blue and hoping for the best" today.

While she doesn't want to predict the score because "I don't want to jinx it", her brother Danny reckons it will be 2-0 to City with Erling Haaland to score his first FA Cup final goal and Jeremy Doku "scoring a screamer".

Their grandad, Jack, has been a City fan since 1955 and now "it is in my blood".

He is wearing a sky blue suit which he wears to all the big finals.

"Hopefully we get a big win today."

City fans Jen and Neil are back at Wembley with their daughter Lily - hoping this year they'll see the Sky Blues lift the FA Cup Trophy.

Last year, Jen successfully predicted on BBC Radio Manchester's Total Sport City were going to lose to Crystal Palace.

However, the good news is - this year they reckon City will win!

"We just knew we weren't going to win last year but we are feeling more optimistic today," Jen says.

Jen told presenter Phil Trow they think it will be 2-1 today and adds they have brought a "lucky" inflatable Erling Haaland mascot with them.

Oasis brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher are among Manchester City's most famous fans, and are often seen at matches, so keep your eyes peeled for them popping up on the coverage later... though they're unlikely to be sitting together.

Former Bond actor Timothy Dalton, chef Marco Pierre-White and martial arts legend Jackie Chan are also fans, we're told.

Of course, Chelsea have their fair share of big name supporters, who are said to include chef Gordon Ramsay, screen legend Michael Caine, Harry Potter star Emma Watson and singer Olivia Rodrigo.

So that's James Bond v Harry Palmer, martial arts v magic and Live Forever v Deja Vu, all cooked up with a couple of Michelin starred chefs...

Fair to say, it could be quite the battle royale.

Phil is another seasoned visitor to Wembley.

City already have silverware in the bag, the League Cup is sitting pretty in the trophy cabinet, but would look even sweeter with an FA Cup next to it.

A Premier League trophy is highly unlikely this season, with Arsenal having a two-point advantage and the easier fixtures left, but a double would be a perfect send-off for the departing Bernardo Silva and John Stones.

With rumours circling about Pep's future - could it be the last final he leads City to? Or would he want to give the Premier League another shot next season and see the final year of his contract out?

With key players rested during the 3-0 win over Crystal Palace, the rotation was a strong indication of the respect Pep has for the trophy - and how much he'd love to win it again.

City have already lost the last two FA Cup finals on the spin. Losing a third? Barring an unmitigated disaster, I can't see a world in which that happens.

  10. Don't forget your coat!published at 12:01 BST

BBC Radio Manchester presenter Phil Trow is presenting his show from Wembley today in honour of the big game - and advises "stick a coat on".

"It isn't winter weather but make sure you put a coat on if you are heading here."

You can listen to his build up until 13:00 on BBC Sounds.

City and Chelsea have won the FA Cup 15 times between them but have never faced each other in an FA Cup final.

Chelsea’s last FA Cup win came in 2018 when they beat Manchester United.

It’s been a turbulent season for the club, with managers Enzo Maresca and Liam Rosenior both being sacked so the FA Cup represents a last shot at silverware under caretaker manager Calum McFarlane.

But with City chasing a Wembley double having already claimed the League Cup this season, who will lift the famous old trophy?

City are looking to win the FA Cup for the eighth time today.

They are the first club in history to reach the final four years in a row, but they were beaten by Manchester United in 2024 and Crystal Palace in 2025.

Under Pep Guardiola, they have lifted the famous old trophy on two occasions, in 2019 and 2023. Can he make it a hatrick?

  14. The cost to fans of attending the FA Cup finalpublished at 11:13 BST

    Shamoon Hafez
    Manchester City reporter

Manchester City players, staff and supporters will be making their 24th trip to Wembley Stadium for a domestic cup semi-final or final under Pep Guardiola on Saturday.

The FA Cup final against Chelsea will be City's third trip to the national stadium in as many month after beating Southampton in the previous round and Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final in March.

City supporters were mocked for failing to sell out their allocation of tickets against the Saints, but what is the cost of attending the showpiece against Chelsea?

BBC Sport spoke to City fan Ashraf, who is heading down to London from West Yorkshire with his son, for a breakdown of his spending for the day:

    • Match tickets: Category 2 - £125 for adults, £115 children
    • Train tickets: £95 (booked in advance before the semi-final)
    • Taxis: £20 to and from the stadium
    • Food: £130 - two burger meals for lunch, snacks and drinks at stadium, evening meal
    • Total: £485

In his pre-match news conference, Guardiola acknowledged the sacrifices made by supporters, saying: "The message is an FA Cup final with two prestigious clubs and with our fans, who make an incredible effort to come down to London.

"It is not cheap and we try to perform as best as possible to win."

Pep Guardiola has told BBC Radio Manchester City's busy schedule would prevent any celebrations if they win the FA Cup final against Chelsea.

The Sky Blues still have two games to play in the fight for the Premier League title - facing Bournemouth on Tuesday and Aston Villa on 24 May.

Looks like the fans will have to make up for the players then if they win today.

Did you know that every one of the last six FA Cup finals have involved either Manchester City or Chelsea?

City reached the last three finals, beating Manchester United in 2023, before losing to their city rivals the following year and surprise winners Crystal Palace last season.

Chelsea, meanwhile, were involved in the three finals before those - losing all three to Arsenal, Leicester City and Liverpool.

That's a lot of fans leaving Wembley ultimately disappointed, but at least one set will get the chance to smile again today.

  19. Predictions, predictions... Can City continue their recent record?published at 09:53 BST

Chelsea have not beaten City in any of their past 13 meetings but their last success against Pep Guardiola's side came, as those of a City persuasion would prefer to forget, on another huge occasion: the 2021 Champions League final.

"I was at that game and Pep did not get the better of Thomas Tuchel," says BBC Sport football expert Chris Sutton.

"He is not going to be schooled by Calum McFarlane though."

You can read Sutton's full prediction for the game here.

For all of this weekend's matches, he takes on two Manchester City fans - frontman and guitarist Tom Ogden and drummer Joe Donovan from indie band Blossoms - and a Chelsea supporter - rapper Songer.
