What you will see

The aim is to raise the profile of art across the country through the series. For instance, you can see other paintings by Turner and Van Gogh right here in Manchester - but would you know where to find them?

Which is why the BBC and Arts Council England are working in partnership to deliver interactive content to support The Power of Art.

City Art guides

Supporting the Power of Art series, are a number of City Art guides, both online on and via a new SMS text service.

If you have a WAP-enabled mobile, just text ‘power’ to 81010 – and you will be sent a number of weblinks to art shows across Greater Manchester.

The City Art guide for Manchester is also online at:
Power of Art - Manchester >

Also featured will be temporary exhibitions at galleries such as Cornerhouse, International 3, and Castlefield.
