Beware of flying drumkits - Naked Weapon from Nelson are here!

Why not tell us all about your unsigned band?

Your band name?
Naked Weapon

Where are you from?
Nelson

Who plays what?
The singer is Adam, guitarists are James (Shoey) and Matty, bassist is Danny, and Elliot plays drums.

Anyone got any bad habits?
In between every song we play Danny plays the intro to muse's "Hysteria".. it kinda gets boring after the first million times...

What's the band's history so far?
Began as a five piece in our school, with Adam, Shoey, Matty, Danny and MattyH (old drummer)... in the summer Shoey realised Elliot was a better drummer and MattyH got kicked out... From there we got a "gig" if you can call it that, at school. It was only one song so we decided to cover Paranoid. School enjoyed it. We played in Burnley, Queensgate at Battle of the Bands. Played also at St Peter's Church, which was fun.

Style and influences?
Bits and bobs that we enjoy. just starting out at the moment as Elliot hasn't yet got a drum kit. We play covers from which we've enjoyed. Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Slayer, Killswitch Engage, Jet, Velvet Revolver, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, System of a down. Rock, Metal.. OLD SCHOOL was our original Theme.

Best moment so far?
When we won Battle of the Bands at Queensgate... we easily won and I wasn't expecting it because it was only our second gig.. it was a great moment.

Worst/most embarrassing moment so far?
Worst and most embarrassing for Elliot was when the drum kit fell off the stage at our gig at Edge End High School. Shoey turned around to see why Elliot'd stopped playing, to realise the kit was on the floor. He then went up to the mic and said "Now that's ROCK AND ROLL"

Anything else we should all know about?
Well, Elliot as you know hasn't yet got a drum kit due to insufficient funds.. recently he has sorted out some sort of sponsorship form so that people can sponsor him to do whacky stuff to raise money for his kit. Being 15 it is fair difficult unless you have a job to quickly get £300 for a kit. Erm, we did have a second singer recently called Keith, he's still one of our best mates but the bandlife didn't suit him very much and we are now a five piece again.
