Judging the North West Producer of the Year competition

A group of the region's top food experts met up this week to taste their way through a mountain of food and drink to find the North West Producer of the Year. The competition is organised by North West Fine Foods and Booths Supermarkets and gives the region's food producers a chance to showcase their produce and battle it out for the top prize.

No wonder celebrity chef Paul Heathcote is looking happy, he's surrounded by food to taste!

It's got to the tough decision time for the judges... there are so many good products to choose from... it's a close run thing.... the tension is mounting.... and the winners....
