Have you ever placed a bet before?Jan: "I used to work in a betting office a long long time ago so I have some idea. It runs in the family - my mother and father used to put a bet on every day of the week at the local bookies. When my father reached his limit he would stop...my mother just kept going. I'm very careful with my money!" Gill: "I have placed bets before and it's a lot of fun to do it around the actual racecourse. I usually go by the name of the horse." Share the excitement with Gill, Jan and Maggie, live on BBC Radio Gloucestershire from 7am on Ladies Day - Thursday 12 March 2009.![]() What is 'My Festival'?It's a BBC Gloucestershire series, on the radio and online, reflecting how the annual Cheltenham National Hunt Festival impacts on the rest of the county.
