Hello, Colin the Tipster here and it's time I told you about the following... ![]() Colin the Tipster Syndicates and Racing Clubs!I've been asked by a mate who would like to own a part of a racehorse, what's the best way to get involved? Well I think syndicates and racing clubs are a good way to start. How much does it cost? Well you can join from £200 to up to £10,000 and more - it's up to you that's the good thing about it. With Racing being so popular in Gloucestershire, there are lots and lots of syndicates here for instance if you want to watch your horse run at Cheltenham then the Timberpond Racing Club or Cheltenham Racing LTD might be just the job for you. But there are also lots of good trainers in Gloucestershire who do syndicates like John O'Shea (Westbury on Severn), Richard Phillips (Adlestrop), Tom George (Slad), Kahlil.J.Burke (Bourton-on-the-water), Charlie Longsdon (Sezincote), Martin Keighley (Condicote), Norman Babbage (Brockhampton) and Jonjo O’Neill (Jackdaws Castle). For a relatively small sum (or a lot more!) you could hopefully have lots of fun and look at the good bits - you get to go on stable visits, go to races, saddle up your horse and give the jockeys advice (WOW! We would all like to do that, well I know I would!). Mrs Tipster says "NO YOU CAN'T", so that’s me out, but my mate's going to, so whoopee for him. Gloucestershire Trainers Championship (Runs from 19/10/07 to 20/04/08)Up to 29th November 2007 ![]() It's been a wonderful start for Nigel and not bad for Jonjo either. Charlie's also looking like he could win it too. So this could be a great championship, oh yes it could! UPDATE: Trainers horses to follow for the seasonJulian Smith (Tirley): "Fine By Me" won for us at Plumpton on the 25th of November. John O'Shea (Westbury on Severn) tells me "Lord Oroco" will be kept on the flat this season. Jonjo O'Neill (Jackdaws Castle): "Wichita Lineman" finished 3rd at Ascot, but will come on for the run. Henrietta knight (Wantage): "Calgary Bay" keeps coming 2nd - hopefully he will win soon! Philip Hobbs (Minehead): "Snap Tie" won at Cheltenham on the 19th of October. Evan Williams (Llancarfan): "Deep Purple" is still unbeaten, let's hope he keeps it that way. Paul Nicholls (Shepton Mallet): "Twist Magic", boy does he look good - Queen Mother Champion Chase here we come! Charlie Swan (Tipperary): "One Cool Cookie" has won for us in Ireland. Chiristian Von Der Recke (Weilrswist, Germany): "Swordsman" won at Huntingdon on November 24th. last updated: 21/05/2008 at 09:42 You are in: Gloucestershire > National Hunt Festival > Festival features > Colin the Tipster: December
