Linking Hull to Liverpool via West Yorkshire, the M62 is a vital route - and a very busy one too!  The Five Rise Locks were built so that Leeds-Liverpool Canal barges could rise or fall 60 feet!  Once upon a time, if you wanted to get to Halifax by water, then Salterhebble was the place to be...  Hewenden Viaduct, part of an old Bradford railway line, is now part of the Great Northern Trail.
