The AC generator

Description

This video explains how an AC generator works. When a set of coiled wires, positioned between the poles of stationary magnets, are spun, the coils cut through the magnetic field and induce a potential difference across the wires, which then creates an electric current. It’s called alternating current (AC), because it’s constantly changing direction.
