The question paper is split into two sections and represents 80 out of a total of 180 marks available for the whole course assessment.

The question paper assesses knowledge and understanding from the following areas of design and manufacturing:-

• Section One:
  • Design (30 marks)
  • Workshop-based manufacture (30 marks)
• Section Two:
  • Commercial manufacture (20 marks)
