Reciting the Shema

The Shema Yisrael (Deut. 6: 4-9, 11: 13-21, Num. 15:7-41) is the most ancient Jewish that can be found in the Torah. It affirms that there is only one God. The Shema says that God is personal and demands love from Jews with every aspect of their being. It also says that Jews should follow his instructions and allow this love to be seen.
