Long-term goal setting

Examples of long-term goals could be:

  • winning a district tournament
  • being selected for a district or national training squad
  • winning a national title

These goals are unlikely to change unless they are achieved ahead of schedule. They are typically set for tournaments or selections a year in advance but can be as long as three years depending on the target.
