What conclusions can be drawn...? 10 Marks

In this type of question you must use the sources to make three conclusions plus an overall conclusion. The sources must be used as evidence to support your conclusions.

You can back up your conclusions by linking evidence both within and between the sources. For example:

"The statement at the beginning of Source A is supported by the statistic later in the same source" or "The quote in Source A is supported by the graph in Source B".

You should remember to either quote or summarise the written statements.

For statistical sources you should either quote the exact figures or summarise what the graph or table tells you. Also, statistical sources can be analysed to explain what they mean or what the implications of them are in order to gain marks. For example:

"The graph in Source B shows that 16/17 year olds voted yes more than the over 65s by 44 percentage points while the rest of the table shows that Yes won in all age groups up to 55."

In the end you should have three conclusions worth three marks each and an overall conclusion worth two marks which gives an extra mark in case you have made a mistake.
