How to write an adventure story

When you write an adventure story you need to include danger.

Take these ducks for instance.

In real life these ducks might float about the pond, have a little sleep and peck at some soggy bread.

But when you write an adventure story, ordinary life is left behind for something much more exciting and extraordinary, often a quest or a mission.

Now these ducks are having an adventure, let the quest for the golden egg commence!
