Journey to the Stars - Science/Science Fiction Workshop in person and online.
Organised by Sarah Margree (PhD Candidate and science fiction writer) and the MA Creative Writing team at the University of Derby.
This free one-day event at the University of Derby brings together writers, scientists, engineers and anyone curious about the relationship between science and science fiction. A panel discussion with science fiction writers (Alastair Reynolds and Ian C Douglas) and STEM Professionals (Prof. Ian Turner, Rob Swinney and Luke Cabot) followed by an afternoon of science fiction writing workshops.
Suitable for all writers, regardless of form. Script, novel, short or poems.
This event is about creating a collaborative community of science fiction writers and STEM professionals.
