New Earth Writers UK Academy Plus

New Earth Writers’ UK Academy Plus is a British East and South East Asian (BESEA) writers' programme dedicated to the development of a full length play. The programme will take place part-time over 5 months from October 2026-February 2027, and will support five early-mid career BESEA playwrights from across the UK with creating a new draft of a full-length play.
Participants of WRITERS’ UK ACADEMY PLUS will gain:
- dramaturgical techniques, feedback, and mentorship from experts and peers
- a revision structure and system of support over an extended period of time
- a new draft of a full-length play
- possibilities for staging, where applicable.
Your script submission:
- Must be new writing
- Be roughly between 60-90 minutes in duration
- Be primarily a written body of theatre. The piece can be experimental and include elements of musical, dance, opera or physical theatre as long as the main body of work is written.
