DLT Entertainment | Table Reads: New Comedy Script Showcase

Red text which reads 'DLT Entertainment' on a white background

New comedy scripts. Top Fringe performers. One live audience.

Monkey Barrel 2 11:00 AM 40 Minutes 7–30 August (Not 29)

Back for Year 3 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Table Reads is where brand new comedy writing gets put in front of a live audience before commissioners get anywhere near it. No sets. No safety net. Just great performers, a live audience, and your writing.

Got something brilliant? Reckon it’ll kill? Here is your chance to prove it.

What They Want

  • Comedy scripts up to 30 minutes
  • Original work (not tied up anywhere else)
  • Written by a human (no AI shortcuts)
  • Castable with performers already at the Fringe
  • Genuinely funny (this one’s non-negotiable)

How To Submit

  • Send through your agent to a member of the DLT team, or
  • Submit directly in PDF format via DocuSign

Submit Your Script

Why Bother

  • Hear your script performed by top Fringe talent
  • See what gets laughs (and what doesn't)
  • Find out what needs work
  • Get in front of people who can move things forward

This isn’t a polite reading in a back room. It’s a live show. With laughs. (Hopefully.) It's a chance to hear your work properly performed — and find out what works, what doesn’t, and what absolutely dies.
