The political temperatures have been rising ahead of a run off presidential poll in Guinea.

At least two people have been killed and dozens injured over the weekend as clashes erupted between members of rival political campaigns.

Supporters of first round winner, Cellou Dalein Diallo and his opponent Alpha Conde threw stones at each other in the capital, Conakry.

Car windows were smashed and many shops closed.

An emergency cabinet meeting took place last night; the BBC's Al Hassan Sillah explained the situation.
