Rwandans are voting to choose their next president.

Incumbent President Kagame is facing a challenge from three other contenders.

Campaigning has generally been peaceful, but the run-up was troubling with reports of clampdowns on the press and the opposition.

Belgian academic Filip Reyntjens, is a Professor of African law and politics specialising in the Great Lakes at the University of Antwerp.

BBC Network Africa's Audrey Brown asked him if this election was any different from the 2003 poll.
