South Africa's ambassador to Rwanda is recalled

Diplomatic relations between South Africa and Rwanda have reached a new low.

The South African ambassador in Kigali was recalled by his government yesterday for consultations.

Relations turned sour after Rwanda's exiled army general Kayumba Nyamwasa was shot and wounded in Johannesburg in June.
