Kenyans vote on a new constitution but will they accept the referendum result?
Voting has ended in Kenya's referendum on a new constitution.
Kenya's Interim Independent Electoral Commission officials say voters turned up in large numbers and formed long queues before sunrise to cast their ballots.
The referendum on a new constitution is part of a peace deal signed in 2008 to end post-election violence following a disputed general election.
The new constitution would reduce the powers of the presidency and increase civil liberties.
BBC Focus on Africa's Peter Ndoro spoke to one of our reporters in Kenya, Anne Waithera, who was at the national vote tallying centre in Nairobi.
