Tinashe is a hugely talented young Zimbabwean musician working hard to make his mark on the UK's pop music scene.
He spent the first ten years of his life in Highfield, a suburb of Harare, a formative time that he believes sets him apart from his musical peers.
The singer regards himself as an outsider, but it is not a position he is unhappy with because of the added dimension that it gives to his music.
Signed by Island Records, he is playing regular live dates around the country building a substantial fanbase.
He visited our Bush House studios armed with his mbira for a conversation with Network Africa's Audrey Brown.
