Jackie Selebi, South Africa's former head of police, has been found guilty of corruption.

He was accused of accepting bribes from a convicted drug dealer in return for providing access to sensitive police information.

Mr Selebi is one of the most senior officials to be tried on corruption charges in South Africa.

The nine month trial is being seen as a defining case for post-apartheid South Africa.

BBC Focus on Africa's Sophie Ikenye spoke to our correspondent in South Africa, Nomsa Maseko, and asked about Mr Selebi's reaction to the verdict.
