Sudan Darfur rebel fears leads to closing of joint borders with Libya

Sudan's government have said all land borders between Sudan and Libya will be closed from July 1st in order to protect travellers and traders from attacks by Darfur rebels.

Libya's government have said they will support the decision.

Libya and Sudan share a common border in the Darfur region.

BBC Network Africa's correspondent in Tripoli, Rana Jawad, sent this report.
