Time is running out for six Ghanaians on death row in Libya.

They are due to be executed in the next few days.

The Ghanaian government have appealed to Libya's leader, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, for clemency.

A few days ago, more than a dozen convicted prisoners, including nationals from Chad, Niger and Nigeria were put to death in Libya.

Capital punishment is common practice in the country.

BBC Focus on Africa's David Amanor spoke to Ghana's Foreign Minister AlHadji Mohammed Mumuni and asked him what he knew about the prisoners.
