There is now just over a week to go before the British elections, and the race seems tighter than ever.

The third biggest party, the Liberal Democrats have now begun to close in on the ruling Labour party and main opposition, the Conservatives.

But is this election going to have any impact on Africa?

One feature of this campaign is that there are a number of parliamentary candidates with African backgrounds.

The BBC's Celeste Hicks went out in south London to meet one of them.
