The future of Africa's railways

What is stopping African cities from having rail transport systems as reliable as the ones we hop onto in London or elsewhere across Europe?

That's the agenda for the first Africa Roads and Rail Infrastructure Summit in the Rwandan capital, Kigali today.

Delegates from seven eastern and southern African nations have been invited to talk and hopefully take action to revive their ailing railways.

For more on the thinking behind the meeting, BBC Network Africa's Akwasi Sarpong spoke to Rwanda's Infrastructure Minister, Vincent Karega.
