In Sudan, a senior opposition leader, who took part in the presidential election, has ruled out joining the next government.

Hassan al-Turabi, who leads the Popular Congress Party (PCP), had earlier denounced last week's polls as fraudulent.

Some prominent foreign observer missions including the EU have also criticised the election process in the north, as well as in the semi-autonomous South of Sudan, which is governed by the SPLM.

Hassan Arouni asked the BBC's James Copnall in Khartoum more about the Popular Congress Party's position.
