South Africa's ANC firebrand youth leader Julius Malema is to be disciplined.

According to South African media reports Mr Malema will face a disciplinary hearing for bringing the party into disrepute.

Lately he's been in the news for openly backing Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, his singing of a banned anti-apartheid song and for throwing out a foreign journalist from a press conference.

So does Julius Malema risk being thrown out of the ANC? Network Africa's Akwasi Sarpong asked Nic Dawes, editor-in-chief of South Africa's Mail & Guardian newspaper.
