The skies over Europe are still a no fly zone, after many flights were cancelled because of clouds of ash from a volcanic eruption in Iceland.
And now the impact of the cancellations is being felt in Africa.
Kenya's vital flower industry is particularly at risk; shipments of fresh flowers have been stuck at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and although they are stored in a cold room, without water, experts say they only have a shelf-life of three to four days.
Jane Ngige is the Chief Executive of Kenya's Flower Council, she told Focus on Africa's Sophie Ikenye about the potential losses the industry face.
