South African's snap up tickets

There are just 56 days to go until the start of the soccer World Cup 2010 and ordinary South Africans have been given an opportunity to buy tickets over the counter.

So far FIFA, which is organising the tournament, has been criticised for focusing on credit card and internet sales - something a lot of South Africans do not access to.

So since early this morning and in some cases since yesterday, thousands of people have been standing in long queues across the country to buy their tickets.

The BBC's Nomsa Maseko went to Soweto, just outside Johannesburg.
