The military junta in Niger has given more details about the arrest of some high profile officials linked to the ousted government of former President Tandja.
About twelve people including former ministers have been detained, for alleged subversive activities.
Following the removal of Mr Tandja's government in a coup in February, the military junta has vowed to restore democracy although no date has yet been fixed.
The ex-president himself remains in custody. For the latest Focus on Africa's Bilkisu Labaran spoke to our reporter in Niamey, Idy Baraou.
