In Niger, at least 10 politicians allied to the ousted president Mamadou Tandja have been arrested.

A military junta seized power last month after storming Niger's presidential palace and capturing Tandja and his ministers.

On the line to Niamey our correspondent Idy Baraou told Network Africa's Akwasi Sarpong why they were picked up.
