Nigeria's acting leader, Goodluck Jonathan, has submitted his first batch of ministerial nominees to the country's senate for consideration and clearance.
The list contains the names of nine former ministers including former Minister of Information, Mrs. Dora Akunyili.
A notable newcomer on the list is Mr. Olusegun Aganga, a Managing Director of London based Goldman Sachs International.
The acting president sacked the cabinet a week ago at the end of their weekly executive meeting.
From Abuja, Focus on Africa's Chris Ewokor reports.
