Sudanese president Omar El Bashir has expressed unequivocal anger at a suggestion by election observers that April's crucial elections should be delayed to enable better preparation.

The vote is supposed to be a historic milestone following the 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement that ended two decades of civil war between north and south.

At a three day international conference aimed at preventing election violence in Africa in the Ghanaian capital Accra, the BBC's David Amanor asked the Southern Sudan Minister of Regional Cooperation General Oyay Deng Ajak for his reaction to President Omar El Bashir's comments.
