The problem of water shortages in Africa has over the years grown more and more serious.

The factors range from environmental issues to poor water management.

Sources which supply water for many populations are drying up as a result of climate change and many countries, including Cameroon, have been recently affected.

The government there blame fast population growth and insufficient infrastructure.

This young child in Yaounde told the BBC about the impact on her daily life.
